On May 19th in Church History from LDS Gifts

• 1842: Joseph Smith is elected as mayor of Nauvoo.
• 1915: The cornerstone of a new Church Office Building was dedicated. It is now called the Church Administration Building and houses many offices for members of the 1st Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
