On May 7th in Church History from LDS Gifts

  • 1850: Louisa Barnes Pratt, wife of Addison Pratt was called and set apart to serve with her husband on a full time mission. As one of the first sisters called to serve a mission, this is an important step toward single sisters being called to serve as missionaries.
  • 1998: As part of the fulfillment of President Hinckley's prophesy to have 100 temples built by the year 2000, the Church announces plans to build temples in Nova Scotia, Japan, Fiji, Mexico, and Hawaii.

Thanks for visiting Great LDS Gifts.
