On May 23rd in Church History from LDS Gifts

  • 1843: Addison Pratt, Noah Rogers, Bejamin F. Grouard, and knowlton F. Hanks are set apart for a mission to the South Pacific Islands. It was the first mission of the Church to that area.
  • 1893: Baptisms for the dead are performed in the Salt Lake Temple for the first time.
  • 1926: Colleen Kay Hutchins is born in Utah. She would later be the first LDS Miss America.

Thanks for visiting Great LDS Gifts.
