On May 5th in Church History from LDS Gifts

  • 1834: Zion's camp, headed by Joseph Smith leaves Kirtland on its way to Missouri.
  • 1855: The Endowment House is dedicated by President Heber C. Kimball. It serves as a temporary LDS temple during construction of the Salt Lake City Temple until 1889.
  • 1957: The first lDS stake in Georgia is organized in Atlanta. There are now 16 stakes and one temple.

There are many great books from Great LDS gifts. Books make a great LDS gift because they can be read over and over and make a real, lasting impact on the person getting the gift. This site gives a lot of options for you. You can give a fiction book that will pull in a reader with a great story like in The Wednesday Letters, and then teach a powerful lesson of life. You may want to give a teen something fun and inspiring like The John Bytheway Collection. The possibilities are endless, C.S. Lewis, The Twilight series, Broken Things to Mend. There are many great LDS gifts that can help make your next gift a Great LDS Gift.
